TECH-P07 Zero to Deployment with IBM WebSphere Portal and Connections Patterns for IBM PureApplication System
Paul Kelsey, IBM WebSphere Portal and Web Content Manager Cloud Architect
This session will introduce the new Web Experience Patterns for IBM WebSphere Portal and Web Content Manager V8 and IBM Connections V4 that can help organizations speed deployments, improve delivery consistency and availability and reduce costs.
IBM PureApplication System and Workload Deployer assist with the deployment of complex WebSphere-based topologies by abstracting the clustering mechanism into simple topology patterns. The session will detail and show new offering services, including expert practice patterns and script packages that can automate single server and multiserver clustered deployments; integration via Web Application Integrator and social networking portlets and more. As a result, these services can efficiently provision simple to complex social software and web experience solutions when deployed on IBM PureApplication System or through Workload Deployer. Understand how to get started and realize business results quickly by reducing platform implementations from weeks or months to minutes. (Level: Intermediate)
