This session is an overview of IBM Connections function and architecture, including the many new capabilities that were added in 2012 and 2013. You will see profiles, communities, activity stream and the services for social collaboration and sharing that can be used, including files, forums, wikis, events, ideation and more. Learn how users can access these features with the web user interface, mobile apps and desktop plugins for Windows, Office, Notes and Outlook. Also covered will be cross product integration with WebSphere Portal, IBM Enterprise Content Management, IBM Business Process Management and IBM Content Analytics. Finally, the session will explain the extensible architecture that enables the integration of IBM and third party services and products with IBM Connections as a social business platform and give an overview of the key public APIs.
