Use these worksheets when configuring a base portal into a primary base node
on a federated server configuration. These panels set up the names, home
directories
and other information for creating an IBM WebSphere Aplication Server for
the portal.
Before configuring WebSphere Portal for z/OS as the primary base node of the
network deployment cell you should configure the WebSphere Deployment Manager
for use with Portal. Use the first worksheet to plan this deployment.
To see these panels in the Customization Dialog:
- Select "Basic configuration tasks".
- Select "Configure base portal into a federated WebSphere application server
profile".
- Select "Configure Deployment Manager".
- Select "Define variables".

Once you have configured the deployment manager, proceed to the primary node
deployment.
To see these panels in the Customization Dialog:
- Select "Basic configuration tasks".
- Select "Configure base portal into a federated WebSphere application server
profile".
- Select "Configure base portal into primary node".
- Select "Define variables".
Select each of the five options in turn, beginning with the first. The
following
tables describe the input collected during this process.
