Abstract - this is an introduction to the River Bend Tea and Coffee Company
used as the fictitious company for context in the IBM Redbooks Wiki : Managing
your WebSphere Portal 6.1 Environment
For the purpose of providing a realistic business context to this section,
we use the River Bend Tea and Coffee Company as the basis for the development
and portal 6.1 management scenario. River Bend Coffee and Tea Company, a
subsidiary of WWCorp, is a fictitious company that uses Portal v. 6.1. It
operates a chain of 20 retail stores in 12 cities worldwide. In addition, the
company runs an Internet-based retail operation, offers small-scale catering
services, and has launched a certification program for employees and customers
who wish to become skilled roast masters.
