Not sure what you mean here, do you mean multiple virtual portals all accessing the one external WCM server ? If so, I suppose that's doable.

Hi David,

would you mind updating the compatibility section so that it also reflects whether it is possible to use a 6.1 Remote rendering portlet on a 6.0 portal server resp. a 6.0 remote rendering portlet on a 6.1 Portal server?

I would add one more use case for remote rendering: multiple base portals (e.g. one per channel of communication or line of business) sharing one WCM repository.
