Introduction

Lotus ActiveInsight can support LDAP configuration in stand-alone mode. In this scenario, Portal is configured with IBM Tivoli Directory Server in stand-alone mode.

Environment

The environment included the following items:
  • IBM WebSphere Portal 6.1 and WebSphere Application Server 6.1.0.15
  • IBM HTTP Server 6.1
  • IBM Lotus ActiveInsight 6.1
  • IBM Tivoli Directory Server 6.1
  • IBM DB2 v9.1

LDAP hierachy

IBM®  Tivoli Directory Server 6.1:
  • User Base Search: cn=users, dc=elcrtp, dc=com
  • Groups: cn=groups, dc=elcrtp, dc=com

Installation and configuration

For reference information, see the  Lotus ActiveInsight 6.1 information center and the WebSphere Portal 6.1 information center.
Install and configure WebSphere Portal.
1.        Install and configure the IBM HTTP Server.
2.        Install and configure the DB2 database to work with Portal. Note: To configure Portal with a remote DB2 server with type 2, a DB2 client must be installed on the same system as Portal.
3.        Install and configure IBM Tivoli Directory Server as the Portal's LDAP server. Note: Use a LDAP user who has write privilege as the bindDN so that the LDAP is configured as a writable LDAP.
4.        Install Lotus ActiveInsight.
