How to get EditLive! RTE (EPhox) for WCM.

Editlive! RTE is available with WCM 6.1.x or later. Once you upgrade WebSphere Portal / Lotus Web Content Management to 6.1.0.3 / 6.1.5 EditLive is available out of box and ready to use. If you are any version 6.1.0.0 to 6.1.0.2, then you need to download the Editlive editor from Passport Advantage website and install the Ephox editor. Recommended approach is to upgrade to 6.1.0.3 or later.

EditLive! editor displays as trial version.

Ensure the Editlive RTE is downloaded from Passport Advantage website and deployed to obtain the IBM licensed one. Also if you have installed the trial version prior to installing the IBM licensed version, you must uninstall the trial version completely and then install the version downlaoded from Passport Advantage website.

Editlive RTE not available or working after applying WCM Cumulative Fix.

For 6.1.0.3 and later, Editlive RTE is included with the product and is redeployed / updated as part of the update-wcm task executed per the Cumulative fix install process. This could happen mostly likely with version 6.1.0.2 or earlier. For 6.10.2 or earlier, the update-wcm task redeploys/updates the WCM portlets and as pat this the Ephox related files are deleted. You need to redeploy / copy the Edilive files again as documented in the Editlive readme included in the download.

After upgrade to 6.1.0.3, Editlive RTE not working.

Editlive RTE is now completely integrated with WCM and available out of box with 6.1.0.3 or later. During the 6.10.3 upgrade, the Editlive Editor is not deployed as a separate application and configured. Post upgrade, you need to access the Configure or Edit Shared settings for the WCM Authoring Portlet and select the Extended Editor in the Rich Text Option section to use the Editlive RTE. This should resolve the issue. Also you do not need to copy any Editlive files like in 6.1.0.2 or earlier after 6.1.0.3.



Using the EditLive editor in local Web content viewer portlets

To use the EditLive editor in a Local Web content viewer portlet you will need to add a new configuration parameter to the portlet configuration:

1. Go to Administration > Portlet Management > Portlets.
2. Open the Web content Viewer portlet in configuration mode.
3. Type WCM_RICH_TEXT_EDITOR in the New Parameter field.
4. Type /wps/ephox;/jsp/html/EditLiveJavaEditor.jsp in the New Value field.
5. Click Add.
6. Click OK.
