Using a scheduled cleanup in cluster mode
If you are using scheduler cleanup in cluster mode, review WebSphere
Portal technote 1289958
, Scheduler Error Messages upon Portal Startup
. This technote describes how a conflict can occur if the scheduler cleanup is activated on multiple nodes of a cluster, and multiple nodes simultaneously attempt to clean up the same database, and the steps that need to be taken to resolve the issue.
Using the scheduler cleanup feature is optional. If you decide to activate the scheduler cleanup in a cluster mode, activate it on only one node. It does not make sense to have multiple nodes cleaning up the database and risking conflicts.
