Overview of Migrating from Mobile Portal Accelerator version 6.1 or 7.0.x

The following sections provide an overview of the process when migrating IBM® Mobile Portal Accelerator from version 6.1 or 7.0.x to version 8.0.
Portal Migration supports only the last two fix packs of a release. Before migrating, be sure to install the latest fix pack.
If you are using IBM DB2 9.7 FP1 with Portal 6.1 you must use the type 2 DB2 driver and not the type 4 DB2 driver. See the
® Portal product documentation for information.
Performing the migration
Follow these steps to migrate your Mobile Portal Accelerator version 6.1 or 7.0.x installation to version 8.0:

Be sure to consult the topics that are appropriate for your environment, either stand-alone or clustered.
