IBM Connections allows users to create communities of their choices where a group of users can contribute and share. Having a community around a specific thing is a powerful and meaningful way of collaboration. In IBM Connections communities you may create a public, Moderated or private community depending on requirement and connections allows you to associates other connections application like blogs, wikis, forum etc…to any community.
Using IBM Connections portlets you can integrate Connections Communities into your Portal site to enhance your portal's social collaboration capabilities.
To integrate you may create a set of portal pages associated with any connections community in portal context such pages is called as community pages. After providing community association to connections community you can add any community service to this portal community page just by adding the required connections portlets on this page. IBM Connections portlets on such pages automatically render their content within the context of that Community. You may create any number of community pages for connections communities.Prerequisites
