You can disable WSRP response data structures that cannot be processed correctly by these non-IBM WSRP Consumers. Such data structures are service description extensions and binary content in the getMarkup
response. Enable this configuration only if you use a non-IBM Consumer and errors occur while a service description response or a getMarkup
response is processed.
To disable service description extensions or binary content, use the following environment entries:
To disable service description extensions set this environment entry to the value false. The default value is true.wsrp.encodeBinaryContent.charset = charset
To disable binary content in a getMarkup or getResource response, specify a character set charset for this environment entry. Specify the character set that is used for encoding the binary content. To denote the default character set, use the value default. If you set this environment entry, the WSRP Producer does not return binary content in a getMarkup or getResource response. Instead, it encodes binary content and returns the resulting string representation. Parent topic: Customizing the WSRP Producer
By default, this environment entry is not set to a specific value. In this case, the WSRP Producer returns binary content that is created by the portlet as part of a getMarkup or getResource response. It does not encode or modify the binary content.
