I have searched all information available in IBM or Lotus web site but i can't find any comprehensive information about connecting QP with Win2000 Active Directory.
I expect the document will describe step-by-step procedure in detail and requirements information from QP and AD sides.
Up to now the standard procedure i know are:
1. Setting up Domino to use an external directory
a. creating the Directory Assistance
b. configuring the Domino server
c. troubleshooting connectivity between domino and the LDAP server using ldapsearch command
2. Setting up QuickPlace to use an external directory
a. QuickPlace XML file (qpconfig.xml)
b. Administering the quickplace server
The requirement informations i need are something like:
1. What version of QP
2. What version of Domino
3. What service pack should be installed along with Windows 2000 server
4. What kind of setting should be done first in Win 2000 active directory
Currently i'am using Domino 5.10 with QuickPlace 3.0a and Windows 2000 without any service-pack
I have tried all that procedure but don't have knowledge in detail about using ldapsearch command, search base, filter, and especially customizing qpconfig.xml to accommodate different attribute between QP and Win2000 AD.
So i end up with failure. My QP can not access any user or group from win2000 AD
Frankly i am very frustated by now and need someone to help.
