Services within Control Panel should provide the definitive answer:
Lotus Domino Server (LotusDominoData) is an overlay install (on 2.0.8 on NT)
Lotus QuickPlace Server on standalone install (again 2.0.8 on NT)
Notes.ini contains 'QuickPlaceStandAlone=1' if a standalone install.
