Hi

I'm upgrading a QP and moving it to another server for a customer. Before I go on site, I have a number of questions that I need answered

Background:
The customer has a single Quickplace server (2.06a) installed as an 'Overlay' installation (i.e. installed on top of a Domino 5.06a server).
They have a number (50 - 80) users with QP offline clients
They have a problem where for 'Offline' users some rooms "Disappear".

Objectives:
Stop 'Offline' users rooms from disappearing.
The email that the QP server sends needs to have a different 'From' name.
They want to upgrade to QP 2.08
The upgraded QP will be on a new QP machine, installed as an 'Overlay', so they need to move the old QP's to the new machine.
They want to keep the old machine as a backup (replica) of the new QP environment for disaster recovery
They want to allow 'single sign in' or 'Session based Authentication' so that customers with more than one QP only need sign in once.
They want to register all QP users centrally (Single point for Admin purposes)
They want all internal users who can access the QP's to use their id's from the company Notes directory (NAB)
They currently use 'Local Security'
They want to change the name of the QP Server from QPAcme.com to AcmeCombined.com

Upgrading questions:
How do I upgrade?
Do I need to use the QP incremental installers 2.06a > 2.07 then 2.07 > 2.08, or is there a single step solution?
Can I install QP 2.08 on top of the existing (2.06a) installation to upgrade?
Do I need to upgrade the Domino Server first?
If so, can I upgrade the Domino Server from 5.06a directly to 5.08, or do I need to use incremental installs? e.g. 5.06a > 5.07, 5.07 > 5.08
Would it matter if the Server was 5.08 and the QP was still 2.06a?
What action needs to be taken by 'Offline' users?
They currently use 'Local Security'. Can I still allow all id's to be stored centrally, and give access to employees using their current Notes id's?

Move to new Hardware questions:
What is the best way to move a QP from one machine to another?
Should I upgrade first?
The QP move facility can help in what ways?
Is it possible to replicate QP's?
Can the 'QPReplicationHook' help?

Current Plan of Action:
Back Existing QP server up
Upgrade Domino from 5.06a to 5.08 or higher.
Use incremental installs to upgrade QP from 2.06a > 2.07 then 2.07 > 2.08
Copy QP from old server to new server
Use QP Move to update the QP name from QPAcme.com to AcmeCombined.com
Install the 'QPReplicationHook' to allow replication between old & new (backup & live) QP's

Current Plan of Action Questions:
Is this the correct approach?
How do I change the 'from' name on QP auto generated emails?
How do I change from 'Local Security' to enable company employees to access the QP's using their Notes id's?
How do I centralise the customer id's/person documents
How do I enable 'Single sign on'?
