First: I like the idea of having a universal project place which is able to collect all necessary information and provide them to the team members in every work situation.
Because of this, I start to have a closer look at Quickr in my lab.
These are some general limitations I would not have expected. Are these only fails of my limited experiences with the product?
My test environment so far:
Quickr 8.2.0.16 on Domino 8.5
Windows 7 with Notes 8.5.2 and Connector 8.5.0 HF2 846
Citrix XenApp 5/64-Bit with Notes 8.5.1FP1
BlackBerry 9700/OS5 with Quickr Client 1.1 (BES 5.0.2 and SNAP 1.1)
iPhone 4/iOS4 with App “SnappFiles for Quickr Version 1.0”
The more serious limitations I ran into:
1. There is no Citrix support of the Connectors (at least with Citrix 64 bit which is necessary to seriously run Notes 8.5.1/8.5.2)
2. Mobile access is limited to attachments which seem to be caused by the very limited API provided by Quickr (without mature API, even the most engaged ISV is not able to provide a persuasive solution)
3. You may drag-and-drop mails from Notes 8.5.2 to the Quickr sidebar and also re-open them from there, but they can not be opened over the web interface (eml-attachment: “access denied”) and of course not from mobile clients (see 2).
