Yesterday our 2.0.8 quickplace server decided to stop accepting uploaded files. It is affecting all quickplaces on the server. Quickplace appears to function normally all the way through the create page / attach file business, but when created (or edited) page is redrawn following upload operation, there is no file attached. File downloads work fine.
The time taken to process the upload does vary according to the size of the file - so I'm pretty sure the upload itself is taking place. But for some reason it is not then appearing in the QP.
The QP (currently) sits on the internet outside our firewall - it is running on Win2K machine with IIS (and all other non-QP internet type services) disabled. It has run in this configuration without problems for some time (except see below...). So we are pretty sure it is not a firewall related issue.
Anyone got any ideas? This has happened here before, and we solved it in the end by reinstalling the whole QP system and QPMoving the databases onto the new server: I'm anxious to avoid doing this again unless we have no choice: but a QP that won't accept uploaded files is not very useful...
Hopefully someone knows what is going on, and what can be done about it.
