I have been looking at different techniques on extending the Quickr Widget Registry on the IBM wiki pages. They are very helpful and detailed. However, I am lost on one topic.

I am looking to modify or overwrite certain widgets (ex. disable a particular button in an action bar for folders). However, I am looking to only do this in certain places not all places using global replace.
Does anyone have any ideas? Am I off base with my request?
