Detailed Description:
Various people have posted methods to copy contacts from Microsoft Outlook to Lotus Notes address book. However, these methods involve exporting to text files, importing into Excel/Lotus 123 files, modifying the headers, and so on. Not for the faint of heart.
This nsf contains a single agent that does the whole job in one go. Simply select the nsf in the Workspace to make the agent available in the 'Actions' menu and select 'Import from Outlook'.
A few prompts for options and the contacts get imported.
For best results, run Microsoft Outlook and minimize it. If you have the Outlook Security Patch, you will get a warning that a program is trying to access the address book. Select 'Yes' to allow as that's the whole aim of this tool.
I have tested this on Microsoft Outlook XP and 2000. Won't work on Outlook Express.
I invite users to send suggestions for improvement and/or new features.
Some I've already thought of are
- Export to Outlook
- Or, simply sync with Outlook
- Import calendar entries
