Detailed Description:
The installed Notes agents are designed to import and export iCalendar and vCalendar files (*.vcs, *.ics).
Four agents are installed in your Mail database:
- iCalendar\Import - allows importing of iCalendar files. This could be a file containing the Boston Bruins hockey schedule, an invitation to a meeting, or an assignment that will go into your ToDo list.
- iCalendar\Export - (on selected documents) exports appointments, events, anniversaries, and tasks to a file. The filename created is printed in the status bar at the bottom of your Notes client.
- iCalendar\Scan - scans selected documents for iCalendar attachments. If found, the agent will automatically convert the iCalendar message into something Notes can use.
- iCalendar\Profile - sets various processing options for exporting and importing iCalendar files.
There are lots of mail clients and other programs that understand and process iCalendar messages. So go ahead and share your data! Initially, an iCalendar directory has been established so that any messages exported have a place to live. This folder will be displayed after creating a message. However, if you wish to find the folder
manually, look for a sub-folder under your Notes Data directory labelled "iCalendar". Typically, this is "c:\lotus\notes\data\iCalendar".
There are also instructions on how to modify your mail template file to permit sending of iCalendar/iTIP/iMIP conformant messages.
Please read the Software Agreement before using this application!
