RE: Function Keys Lance J Nethery 25.Nov.11 03:40 PM a Web browser Approach 9.8All Platforms
When I click Edit, Script & Macro, Macros I get as one of the choices "Convert to Script". So I am thinking I don't have to learn LotusScript after all.
Since the !ST LIFETIME (F2) is already highlighted, I click on "Covert to Script" and name the script 1ST LIFETIME, clicked on OK and close the script dialogue editor. Now when I click on Notes in the repeating panel (in Browse) and press F2, I get the shudder, but nothing in the Notes field.
I tried also Converting it to Script with the names F2 and 1STLIFETIME (without the space between 1ST and LIFETIME)
but got the same results.
The interesting thing here is that F2 shows up in the IDE browser, but not 1ST LIFETIME or 1STLIFETIME.
The other interesting thing is that clicking on Help, Help Topic, Index, and start tying "Send Keys". I get to select "Send Key macro command"
When I go there, it tells me how to do it.
This in spite of the fact that SS 9.8.1 won't permit "Send Keys".
So now I get out of there and click Edit, Script & Macros, Macros and try to delete the F2 1ST LIFETIME macro.
Now when I return to the repeating panel and Notes, I click F2 and there is no shudder, a nothing appears in the Notes field.
When I press other macros that worked in the Notes field, there is a shudder, but nothing in the Notes Field
How do I get the function key F2 to work?
I realize this is not a TEACH LOTUSSCRIPT forum, but "Convert to Script" seems to be a macro thing. Maybe I have to learn LotusScript after all !
The other thing I have never done is when I click on Edit, Script & Macros, Show Dialog Editor, it warns me that "This file was last saved with a previous version of Lotus Approach.
Do you want to convert it to Lotus Approach 9.5 ...."
I never continue beyond this for fear of messing things up. My File is fairly complicated.
