Howdy folks,
I run an OLD version of SmartSuite that I still use! Beats the hell out of MSWord any day!!
Anyway, I am trying to export some recent documents to MSWord using WordPro's Save As Word97 menu function ("Word97" is the best menu choice).
Occasionally, when I open the exported file in MSWord (Office 2003), a footnote is corrupted. Ie., I can't click the cursor on the footnote text at the bottom of a page, and that bad footnote shows the overbar (separator line) running the width of the page, rather than just a few inches from the left margin.
All other footnotes in that document are fine, but all (incl. the corrupt one) are double-numbered: the superscripted footnote is preceded by an identical 12-point number, which has a paragraph type of "indented number list". That is easy to fix, but just thought I'd mention it.
