I need to open a new file template after saving the original file under a new name. Ounce I am in the new file, I need to close the first file open. I have found this statement in the help file of the close method "[{<<C:\temp\D1006.123>>window 1].close false" However I don't know how to get the name of the first file open from my 2nd open worksheet named C:\RPT\ABC.123 Thanks everyone for your input Pierre
