Hello,

Sorry if you read the Approach User mailing list list, but I have had no luck there so I thought I would try here.

I am trying to view Wordpro documents from within Approach. So far with a little help, I have

Sub Click(Source As Button, X As Long, Y As Long, Flags As Long)
Dim fname As String
fname=currentview.body.file_path.text & currentview.body.file_name.text

Dim XXx
Set XXX = .objoleobj3

XXX.dispatch.application.Closeall(146)
xxx.dispatch.application.ApplicationWindow.UserInterfacePrefs.OpenDocsVisible = True
XXX.dispatch.application.openDocument fname, "", "", "", True
xxx.dispatch.application.updateole
xxx.dispatch.application.updateUI
xxx.refresh

Set xxx=Nothing
End Sub

It seems to be opening the document, but I cannot get the ole object in approach to update.

Maybe I am going about this all the wrong way, but would appreciate an expert to pass comment.

I have tried doing this on a form and a form as a dialog (not gone to a dialog yet)

(I know It could be done using a Picture Plus field, but would rather do it through script)

Any ideas will be very much appreciated.
