kevin toner 17.Aug.10 01:38 PM a Web browser WordPro All Releases Windows 98
I am new to the forum as of today, hi,
I have the old Lotus Smartsuite pre-installed onto a PC in 2000 using windows98.
I have an lwp file which is one page with frames (images and text within these frames). The font sizes are 5 & 6 point (very small). It prints fine on paper, but won't print properly on PDF (some of the text shifts beyond the frame margin - I think this is because the text increases in size slightly when using PDF printers). I have tried printing to file (prn) then converting to PDF and the same thing occurs. I have tried different pdf printers with no luck.
For some reason the prn files created using the deskjet printer wont convert (as I presume these are just made of text info for paper printers only), which is unfortunate because, as I said, the paper prints are unaffected.
I would love to be able to get any image from the file, such as a jpg image, but to get a jpg you need to convert from a ps (postscript) file, which I understand wordpro doesn’t support.
The print screen option is too weak on resolution - or can this be manipulated to get a good resolution image?
Does anyone have any advice or explanation for the above problem or can anyone suggest an alternative method which will allow me to get an image file, jpg, pdf, or something similar, from my .lwp file, without the text altering itself?
I was thinking a later version of Wordpro would do the trick. If this is true, then I it would be great if someone could print it for me, if all else fails.
