RE: Get a user's awareness status in a back-end Java program Tomas Novak 20.Sep.03 01:37 PM a Web browser Sametime Developers Toolkit All ReleasesAll Platforms
Thanks for the link you sent me!
First of all, the Redbook you're working on looks really very good!! I'm sure it will give many people a very useful Sametime knowledge base.
However, I would like to ask you to help me with an "Awareness problem" in Java.
The code written in Chapter 4 as you suggested is plus/minus the code I've already tried myself (except of some deatils...).
BUT my PROBLEM is the following. Consider that you have openned a Sametime Client and are logged in as "John Barrow" - just like the screenshot in the Redbook illustrates. Now, when the servlet executes, it loggs on the ST server with the same username (it could be through loginByPassword or loginByToken, no matter. At this moment, the original session, which was open in the Sametime client in the pop-up windows DISCONNECTS with the message:
You have been disconnected from the Sametime server because you logged on from another computer.
Is there any possible workaround for this situation?
