John Nicholson 20.Feb.03 12:09 PM a Web browser Sametime Online Meeting Center/Meeting Room 3.0 Windows NT/2000
I'm installing the meeting room client.
"Sametime requires you to use Microsoft's Virtual Machine (VM). Please disable the VM you are currently using."
(I have the Sun JVM installed)
Full instructions are provided to disable the JVM, but not how to install the MS "JVM" or to enable the Sun JVM once finished with Sametime.
I understand from previous posts that the MS JVM is the only one supported. Very unfortunate, but that's life.
I also see from previous posts that the MS VM is not very easy to find nowadays.
Should people be encouraged to blindly disable a JVM (which is unlikely to have been installed without good business reasons) and replace it with a downlevel surrogate?
Surely the instructions should at least cover the location of the MS VM and roll back to the Sun JVM when finished. Some indications as to the ramifications of going back to a downlevel JVM would also be a good idea. Might stop some people getting annoyed.
