We're running Sametime 6.5.1 FP1 on Domino 6.5.3 in a Windows 2003 environment and use LDAP to access a NAB in a different notes domain. Below details problems that we frequently encounter with our Sametime server:-
1. We loose online awareness with public groups. This only happens periodically and there doesn't seem to be a pattern to it. Some public groups can expand with out issue whereas other groups appear blank. This also may only affect some people and not others. What we've had to do in the past is reboot the Sametime server to resolve. Does anyone know why this occurs and is there another fix we can implement? It's frustrating for our user base when the Sametime server is rebooted.
2. When shutting down domino server either by stopping the STAddin task and then quitting domino or just quitting domino, the server always hangs resulting with us having to kill domino and perform a hard reboot. Obviously by doing this Sametime has not shutdown in a clean state and we have to run maintenance on the Sametime databases prior to the STAddin task being loaded. We purposely disabled hyper-threading on the server as we were aware this may have been the cause why Sametime/Domino did not shutdown correctly. Does anyone have any idea why we cannot shutdown the server cleanly? Is there a preferred method of shutting down the server?
