Anders Aslund 4.Jul.13 06:19 AM a Web browser Sametime Entry 8.5.2 Linux
one customer has both Lotus Notes and Outlook.
The Lotus Notes users use a Sametime 8.5.2 server which their notes clients log on to. Sametime is using LDAP that is pointing to a Domino server.
Now the Outlook users (which are not located in domino directory but only in Active Directory) wants to use sametime.
Here are some questions I would like to get some input on:
If we on the Sametime server create a DA where we point to the Active Directory. Then the Outlook users will be able log in to Sametime (right?) and there will not be problems for the current Notes users (right?).
To get the Outlook users into groups I can create groups in the Domino Directory where we put in the CN-name of the Outlook users (right?).
Pidgin is my best alternative for a chat client (the 500MB+ Lotus Sametime 8.5.2 Connect client is not an option). Does anybody know of any other free alternatives that could do the job better?
