Pam Assivero 20.Mar.15 02:19 PM a Web browser Sametime Standard 9.0 Windows
It appears that whenever someone uses a browser to attend a meeting, and needs to share their screen, even with the URL entered into the Security tab - exceptions list in the Java console, it warns about security, and then it says Get PlugIn which means it wants to update Java to the latest release. I have a system with Java 8 Update 40 both 32 bit and 64 bit installed. Yet, the Sametime meeting is prompting to update the plug in. Even after going through the steps and downloading and installing the version of java that is already installed, it still isn't working.
Why does it require the latest version of Java to run the sharing functionality. Just attending the meeting has no issue.
