On Sametime 8.0.2 server, I add a ST_TOKEN_TYPE parameter to notes.ini to config the server to use a LTPA token named "LTPATokenZHMail",and delete the default "LtpaToken" sso document. But notes 851 embedded st client seems can no longer accquire LTPA token when trying to login via SSO token, and prompt "missing single sign on token".
So, does sametime 8.0.2 server just can provide the default name "LtpaToken" sso token to notes 8.5.1 embedded st client? It seems sametime 8.5.1 server can provide the right sso token where sametime.ini added the "ST_TOKEN_TYPE" parameter. Is it a bug for sametime 8.0.2 server working with notes 8.5.1 client ?
What is More confusing me, the sametime server, even 8.5 version can authenticate through a wrong ltpa token(sametime server does not belong to the defaut ltpa token document) when you did not add "ST_TOKEN_TYPE" parameter. My experience is that if you do not have too much users, maybe in the test environment, it's ok. But under production environment with over 1000 users, it will crash several hours a time. IBM, please scrutinize those ltpa token issues, please fix them or make a documentation that clearly pointed out the tech detail or a "best practice" about the sso configurations for sametime.
