Sametime Administration 3.0 All Platforms

I've successfully deployed the 'bot example in the latest issue of The View, the one that does directory lookups. While I'm not sure if this is one we'll use in production in the future, it did bring up a basic issue: How do I get this to launch correctly so users see it in their buddy list?

Since this is a bot that maintains a presence, it needs to log in to the Sametime server. The problem is, if I set it to run at server startup, the Domino server isn't up yet. If I have the Domino server start it at server start-up, the Domino server is running, but the ST services have not started, so the 'bot can't log in.

The only way I've made it work is to wait until the Sametime server is completely up, then I launch a Terminal Services session on the server and run the start.bat file to start it up. Then I close the TS window without logging out so the program will continue to run. This works, but is hardly acceptable in a production environment.

How, in general, do any of you get a Sametime 'bot to start and log in without manual intervention?
