Let me preface this by saying that I'm a total LDAP rookie...
I'm in the process of setting up the first Sametime (3.1) and QuickPlace (3.0.1) Servers in our organization. We are running two Domino servers(ver 5.11), one for production and one for testing. The ST and QP servers will be on separate machines.
My goal is to integrate both the ST and QP servers together so that we can take advantage of the "Chat"\"Who's On Line" capability afforded by having the two integrated. Having read through the documentation, I've seen that the only way to do this is to have both access the same LDAP directory.
Which machine would be best to load the LDAP service on (I will be using a Domino Directory)? Would I be best in loading it on the Test Server? The QP server (I read about that scenario here in the forum) or does it matter?
I'm kind of hesitant to load it on the Production server but that could also be an option.
