Hi,
I'm trying to install Sametime 8.0 Connect Client Standard on my Ubuntu 7.10 System as well. It seems that the postinst script fails when calling the rcplauncher for provisioning due to the fact that it can't find the rcplauncher. It looks like the $PREFIX is not set to a valid location at this point of the script. Matter of fact the script tries to launch the rcplauncher by calling "/rcp/rcplauncher" instead of "/opt/ibm/lotus/Sametime/rcp/rcplauncher"
