Thomas C Lyngesen 10.Sep.03 07:26 AM a Web browser Sametime Administration 3.0 Windows NT/2000
I am experiencing long waiting time when logging in to the Sametime server via the web browser. The Sametime server is release 3.0 SP1 with interim fix 2a (should be the newest available fix release on 3.0). Authentication is done via LDAP, the LDAP server being a Lotus Notes server in another Notes domain (another Notes organisation).
If logging on via the Connect client, the authentication process happens in a snap. When logging on through the web browser, eg. meeting center, the logon process takes about 5 minutes. Logon does finally succeed, but when logging out, either by closing the browser, or entering ?logout in the URL/Address line, and then logging on again, the logon process is normal, i.e. takes about one second or two. There is not always evidence of any problems to be seen on the Sametime server console, nor is there any problems reported in the server notes log (log.nsf), however it happens that the console writes the error "Unable to bind to LDAP server 'servername.domain.com'"
When logging on as a test user who is created in the Sametime server names.nsf, the authentication is normal, ie. maybe a couple of seconds.
Has anyone experienced the same problems, and how did you overcome them? Any help on this problem is much appreciated. Thanks
