SOLVED: Directory Problem Michael Urspringer 3.Aug.07 01:52 AM a Web browser Online Meeting Center/Meeting Room 7.5.1Windows
I just solved the problem ...
I am using an LDAP directory which is located on another Domino server for authentication. In that LDAP directory there is a user named e.g. "Demo User1" (no further certifier, just a manually created person document). In the address book of the domain where the sametime server is located there is also a person document for a user named "Demo User1/Demo" ("real" Notes person with ID).
I can authenticate via browser on the Sametime server with the person in the LDAP (at least I think so as I am using the HTTP password which is stored there). Same is true for authenticating via the Saemtime client.
But if I try to attend a meeting the Sametime server is using the person in the Domino directory (the one with the certifier; you can see that in the Java log). And this then fails even if the person does have the same HTTP password set.
So the question is, why is Sametime using the person in the Domino directory although I have told it to use LDAP .... There is only one person with that CN in the LDAP directory so it should completely ignore the duplicate name in the Domino directory!? (as it does when using the Sametime client e.g.).
Strange .... but at least it works now. Nevertheless maybe someone can clarify this to me so that I can understand it?
(As you see I am just starting to experiemnt with Sametime, sorry if seems to be a trivial question ....)
