Sametime Developers Toolkit 3.1 Windows NT/2000

I have a very simple page (see at the end) which just logs a user into Sametime with the STLinks toolkit on a Sametime 3.1 server and displays the online-status of the user who just loged in.

If I test this on the Sametime machine itself everthing works fine with IE 6 and also with Netscape 7. If I put the HTML page on another Domino server in my domain everything works fine with IE (MS JVM and Sun JRE), but fails if I try to load it with Netscape 7 with this stacktrace (it is the same for Mozilla 1.0.x to 1.2.x as well which I also have installed on my machine):

  • Sametime 3.1 on a Domino 6.02CF1 on top of a Windows 2000 Server OS.
  • Client machine is a Windows XP all fixes applied with IE 6 (MS JVM or Sun JRE 1.4.2) and Netscape 7 (Sun JRE 1.4.2)

My findings so far are:
  • There can not really be a connection problem, because it works with IE at the "same" time
  • There does not seem to be a common problem with JRE 1.4.2 because it works in both scenarios with IE 6 and in the local scenario with NS7
  • It works from a different machine and the demo page has to be correct

Any help or clarification is highly appreciated, regards,
Olaf Hahnl

Demo page (where the references to the Sametime server and user have to be changed to the local settings)
