Hi all,
I wanted to put a post on here because I've been struggling with this integration for so long and finally have a light at the end of the tunnel. I've been trying to integrate Quickr 8.2 and Sametime 8.5 through a proxy (which is DataPower). My first hurdle was that stlinks would not work through DP, whether I was going through Quickr or not. After much work with IBM it ended up that even through DP was set to not chunk encode, it was still somewhat chunk encoding, so IBM had to provide me with a special stlinks.jar file with chunking enabled That got me over getting stlinks to work through the proxy.
Now I was hoping this would resolve my whole integration of awareness issue... but that hasn't been my luck. I then tried to do the integration with quickr and still no awareness. So several things ended up having to occur to get this to work. First of all it seemed that in order for it to communicate with my proxy via port 443 I had to list the sametime community server as being
https://yourproxy.com:443/affinityid. The https alone did not force quickr to use port 443. Now after getting that set it seemed that the affinity id was being set twice. The final work around was to comment out some lines in the stlinks.js file and it works. IBM I believe is working on redoing the stlinks.js file so that it will work in all cases.... but for now my case works. Just thought I'd share this information in hopes that it will help someone else. I'm now working on the peopleonline applet... as that doesn't work either. Who said integration was simple...... *sigh*
