Sametime Bots

Ok here we go,
Im reletively new to Java and have started playing around with sametime bots, in particular the Magic eightball bot that is downloadable from the sandbox. I have eclipse running on my machine and are trying just to get the source code to compile of which I beleive it is doing succussfully as it throws no errors.
Once I have this compiled am I right in saying that I then need to create a BAT file to load the Class file and the notes.jar which would be placed in the same folder as my eightball code.
Any ideas from anyone who has managed to get this working would be appreciated.
I think the eightball code is a great starting point in the development of sametime bots.
