Sametime Connect Client Closes after Log In

Sametime Connect Client 9.0 Windows
We have an installation of Sametime Connect Client V9 that when the user signs in, the application closes and there are no signs of it running in the background or anything. When the user isn't signed in, the application remains open and you can check settings/preferences etc.
Anyone see this before and know the solution?
