Sametime Mac - Assign to All Desktops

Sametime Connect Client 8.5.1 Macintosh
Starting Sametime 8.5.1, I am working to get the Sametime Connect client to assign to all desktops/spaces. I can successfully assign after starting the Mac client and it works largely as expected until I exit the app. The restarting, the app does not restart and assign to all spaces. Following the same procedures, other apps work successfully but Sametime Connect does not. Suggestions? I'm running 10.7.3 (and same behaviors on 10.7.1 and 10.7.2 also)
