Jason Cramsey 22.Mar.11 04:26 PM a Web browser
Sametime Standard 8.5.1 iSeries (AS/400)

Environment:
IBM i V5R4
Domino 8.5.2.1
Sametime Community 8.5.1

I have installed DB2 and SSC on a Windows server and can log into the WAS console fine. I have connected to the Domino LDAP server from the WAS console and verified it was working by searching the directory for users.

Now I am trying to register the existing upgraded Community server with the SSC and it is failing. I am following the instructions from the admin guide.
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/sametime/v8r5/topic/com.ibm.help.sametime.v851.doc/migrate/upgr_st_registerserver_i5os.html

When I run registerSTServerNode.sh from the console directory the logs directory is created and ConsoleUtility0.log is created but no console.pid. After I enter the notes.ini directory, admin name and password, the utility finishes with the following error.

propertyFile:/notes/STserver/notes.ini
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.ibm.sametime.console.deployment.client.tools.DominoStandalone.getDataFromNotesIniFile(DominoStandalone.java:347)
at com.ibm.sametime.console.deployment.client.tools.DominoStandalone.getAllData(DominoStandalone.java:313)
at com.ibm.sametime.console.deployment.client.tools.DominoStandalone.register(DominoStandalone.java:167)
at com.ibm.sametime.console.deployment.client.tools.DominoStandalone.main(DominoStandalone.java:95)

The only thing in the ConsoleUtility0.log is the following.

2011:3:22 13:50:40 com.ibm.sametime.console.deployment.client.api.Deployment setProductInstallRootforUtility AIDSC0915I: The install location is set as:/Notes/STserver/console/

2011:3:22 13:51:41 com.ibm.sametime.console.deployment.client.tools.DominoStandalone getDataFromConfigXML http://STserver.domain:80/servlet/auth/scs?xpath

2011:3:22 13:51:41 com.ibm.sametime.console.deployment.client.util.RestURL getXMLFromURL AIDSC0877I: The complete URL is :http://STserver.domain:80/servlet/auth/scs?xpath

Any help with this issue is appreciated.
