Sametime Standard 8.5.2 IFR1 Windows

We are in the process of piloting a Sametime 8.5.2 IFR 1 environment, while the rest of our community uses our existing Sametime 7.5.1 environment. The new persistent meeting server is awesome; however, I find it odd that the only way you can allow another user to control your screen is if you have a Sametime Connect Client installed and have the Meeting Room Window Preference selected to Sametime Client Meeting Room. Is this accurate? Not all of our users use the Connect client, many of them use the embedded client. So does that mean that they do not have the option to allow others to control their screen?

Any help would be appreciated!
