Richard Tan SG 28.Aug.07 02:34 AM a Web browser
OpenMic 6.5.1 Windows

We have just installed and configured ST 6.5.1 on Windows 2000 Server SP2 with Community Services.

This server has 2 Network cards and 2 IP Addresses for "left" direction NIC and "right" direction NIC.

We want the Community Service of ST always uses IP address of "Left" direction, which is now not the case.

My ST communityconfig.txt file on its Local IP and Bind IP always contains one IP address from the "Right" direction Network Card (NIC).

I have configured, the host file, and FQDN also configured properly, and ping on FQDN replied as the "Left" direction IP address.

We have tried to changed the Local IP and Bind IP in communityconfig.txt file, but the next restart it will go back to the "Right" direction NIC IP address.

When we place the FQDN in the following field in ST WebConfig (Configuration-Connectivity Tab-Community Service Network Section).

Host name (if empty, service will bind to all host names on server) - the one for port 1516, we put our server FQDN in here, then click update and restart the domino server, then the ST Links service failed to get started, and again the Local IP and Bind IP still using "Right" direction NIC IP address.

How to set my ST server community service to bind and use only the "Left" direction NIC IP Address, instead of the current "Right" direction NIC IP Address?

Pls help, hopefully this can be explained in 9pm session of 30 August Open Mic, which I will be attending.
