Why oh why is installing a different language pack so hard????
I want to use a correct version of English - not the incorrect US English version. The link for installing alternate language is about as useful as a 'chocolate tea-pot'. I opened 'Preferences' and selected 'English United Kingdom', it informed me that the 'Spell Checking Dictionary' is not installed, and that I should refer to the 'Help Topics' for installing other 'Dictionaries'. This I did, and all it did was point me to the 'Preferences' area I started in!!!!!
I have now WASTED 2 days of my life trying to locate a link to the English UK dictionary ........ and I am still looking. Why do the developers of this product make it so damn difficult to make, what is for any other product is a simple functional exercise, so hard, or impossible to resolve ............... Little wonder few people like using this product, but are forced to because 'Big Blue' insists upon it.
Yes, I am frustrated, angry, and annoyed ........... but come on guys, this should be a basic function. ALL available language packs should either be included, or the 'Preferences' section should contain a link to the relevant location for languages.
Can anyone shed any light? Also can someone get the developers to for once think of 'product usage' when developing apps?????
