I have a customer who has the below environments:
2 ST servers
LDAP - "gbldap.gb.acme.com" (UK Domino servers, load balanced)
.gb.acme.com - DNS Domain
1 ST server
LDAP - (currently pointing to "gbldap.gb.acme.com")
.au.acme.com - DNS Domain
The UK environment works, the Asutralians are not using Quickr or DWA but the three ST servers are in a community cluster.
I need some suggestions on best way to configure their environments, my suggestion is below.
1) DNS A record in Australia to resolve gbldap.gb.acme.com to a local Australian LDAP server instead of going over the WAN to the UK as network problems have caused ST issues.
The things that worry me are:
1) Does the LDAP server need to be added to the SSO doc?
2) The ST servers are controlled by different SSO docs due to the different DNS domains, what issues can this cause.
3) Any ideas to future proof this in case they start collaborating between Aus and the UK?
