Most likely you are using LDAP for your sametime directory so you should have a comma not a / in the name.

I'll add this though, you should avoid STLinks and use STProxy if you can. STProxy is a much more flexible toolkit, and much more modern.
STlinks requires Java on the client, and there are probably hotfixes due to the Java exploits that are constantly being closed.
You can turn on the Java Console in the browser and you might see a bit more information about why the name is failing.
