RE: Multiple Communities and meeting servers Sauron d'Mordor 11.Nov.15 06:16 PM a Web browser General 9.0All Platforms
Thank you too, Mr. Ben Williams.
What of my thinking that users without 'home' meeting servers will be able to attend meetings within Sametime client?
This is the scenario I envision.
User A in community US-1 with community server and meeting room server within that community.
User B in community US-2 with community server only, no meeting room server attached to that community.
User C in community CN with community server and meeting room server.
All 3 communities have community connectivity and IM/Presence are functional.
User C invites user A and B to a meeting room from within the sametime client by right-clicking the user names in the contact list.
User A and B both have "Sametime client meeting room" option set for "meeting room window" option in Sametime preferences.
In this scenario, A and B will receive the invitation from C to the meeting room server in the CN community, correct? And the users will be able to attend? Will single sign-on come into play, will SSO token need to be setup for it to work? If SSO is necessary, but not functional can it still be made to work by manually configuring the CN community's meeting server in "Meeting Room Servers" and providing valid http/https credentials?
Thank-you both, for helping me. So far you have validated that my understanding is correct.
