RE: Unable to install meeting room plugin in IE, Firefox and Chrome Pam Assivero 26.Feb.16 04:06 PM a Web browser Usability Issues 9.0Windows
I'm very interested in what you find out from IBM.
We had it working just fine with Firefox. IE was too iffy.
Then someone updated the browser along with some other software and the plug in broke. When we tried to install it we got the same "plugin is corrupt" message.
I removed Firefox (somehow there was an x86 and an x64 version) and downloaded an older version of firefox, just x86. I installed v39.0 and was able to install the plug in and it worked fine again.
But like you, we can't control how people connect to meetings. This only happens if someone wants to share their screen. Right now, we have this happening in head office because we use a browser in our boardroom to run meetings on it.
We're at the point where we are deciding that perhaps Sametime Meetings is not the right fit for us, and maybe we should be looking at an cloud product. They also want to start using audio/video and that's going to be another headache.
I'm tired of the IT manager looking to blame me for this when it stops working.
