A customer wants to separate their business forming two entities. They currently have an SSC and Community server. It has been decided that for the second entity another SSC and Community server will be provisioned. The current entity will support and manage both Community servers. The second entity does not need to administer them in any way.

The second entity users will be in a different AD LDAP DC so the search filters for either will not return users in the other LDAP. This should stop users from authenticating with the wrong server as well as searching for users and groups in the other LDAP.

They have a single Domino domain for the current Community server and all their mail/apps servers. They would like for the new Community server to be in same (single) Domino domain. This would mean that there are two Community servers in the same address book.

I can't see there being a problem with this. I understand that both Community servers will connect to one another as they share a names.nsf but LDAP should keep users separate from each other.

You might ask why not put the new Community server in it's own Domino domain? One of the requirements is to replicate what they have currently with the new servers so the same Domino domain fits this requirement unless there is a big reason why as not to do it this way.
