Re: Migrating a Community Server from a Domino Directory to Domino LDAP

Great article. We're attempting to migrate from a Sametime implementation which uses AD but, also is part of a large Domino domain to a Standalone server connected to the same AD. Im thinking that this REPLACE_HOST task will come in very useful the only problem is that the GMOH-8LPBE4 fix is not listed anywhere. Any thoughts on where to get it? Also, do you know if there is a supported way to migrate the vpuserinfo between Domino domains? My basic problem is that I cannot find a clear path to keeping users contact lists in tact.

Again, great write-up here.. Thanks!

Re: Migrating a Community Server from a Domino Directory to Domino LDAP

I am interested in the managed-settings.xml setting and tag to suppress the pop-up after running the name change (refered to above as "so the users will not be bothered by any pop-up"). I don't see the examples in the "they will look like this" sections - are the examples missing, or is my browser swallowing those settings?

(I see the examples for the plugin_customization.ini, however, I need to use managed-settings.xml)

Re: Migrating a Community Server from a Domino Directory to Domino LDAP

Jack,

Many thanks for this comprehensive guide, will prove to be essential if I migrate our Sametime infrastructure across to LDAP. In the "Steps required for Inbox awareness to work" you mention a Managed Preference for using canonical names but don't go on to list what it is, are you able to advise?
